- I love to read! It’s my Calgon, it takes me away!
As far as photography, well it is one of my great passions in life! Even if I don’t have my camera with me I’m always framing shots in my head. When I’m in my car I have to make a conscious decision to look at the road because my eyes are always drifting to cool new places to shoot and I’m always looking for that really sweet light! Crazy right?, but this is something I’ve done since I was a child. I had an old camera of my dads and I would sit in the back of our van on family vacations and snap pictures out the window.
In college I turned my passion into some actual knowledge by taking a few courses in photography but it was still just a hobby. I went on to complete my degree in Business, married my college sweetheart and worked in Marketing for a few years. In 2005 our first child came along and my interest in photography skyrocketed, I had a new subject! I decided that I needed to work in photography full time and became a photographer for a catalog company. I enjoyed commercial work and still do some from time to time but my passion is photographing people and capturing emotions. Late 2008 I started my portrait business and have been having a great time getting to know new families! I love what I do now and am truly blessed!!
