Where has the month gone!!

I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve updated this blog!  I’d really been on a roll there for awhile!  Things have been crazy busy for us lately, but tis the season for that I guess!  I had such a great time with mini sessions this year, I still have several sessions to post and I’ll do that soon!  My main focus this week has been placing orders and getting Christmas cards done!  I think I’ve tied up all my loose ends and next week I plan on soaking up all the time I can with my family before Christmas!  This is my favorite time of year and I want to enjoy the most of it I can!

I didn’t want to post without a picture so I thought I’d post a pic of this cute little nugget!

Chloe :: Thomasville, GA Family Photographer

Check out this little nugget of cuteness from Mini Sessions!!!  Chloe has such a neat little personality!  She’s so alert and inquisitive!

She did such a great job!!  She even let us put reindeer ears on her!

Mom even jumped in a couple of pictures, love this one!   We still have spots available for this Saturday so call or email me if you’d like to sign up!

The Barrett Family :: Thomasville, GA Family Photographer

We had a great time with mini-sessions this weekend!!  There are still spots for this coming Saturday, December 3rd if you haven’t signed up yet! click here for more info about it!

I had the chance to take pictures of the Barrett family, they are such an adorable family!!!  I loved the red and black theme they went with, and very fitting since UGA won this past Saturday!!

The kids have such a sweet little spirit about them and gorgeous blue eyes!

Love this one of the whole family too!

It’s officially Christmas Season!!!

I love, love, love Christmas!!!  Around our house we’ve had Christmas music on the past couple weeks or so and I’ve already indulged in my share of Hallmark Christmas movies!!   My goal before the end of this weekend is to be completely decorated inside the house so we can concentrate on the outside the first of next week!!!

One of my favorite parts of the Christmas season is making treats for people in my life!  The next few weeks I’ll be sharing a few ideas to help you get in the spirit too!!

I thought we’d start off with Christmas Potpourri!!  It’s an easy one that’s a perfect way to kick off the season!  Caroline and I made of batch of these this past week to share with our family at Thanksgiving.  This makes the best teacher, neighbor or hostess gift!!  I even cranked out a sheet of tags with directions to put with your potpourri to make it that much easier!

All you need to do is assemble a few ingredients:

1 bag of small oranges or tangerines

1 bag of small lemons or limes

Cinnamon sticks

Bay leaves

Whole Cloves

Craft bags & ribbon (not pictured but can be picked up at Wal-mart in the craft section)

In each bag place 1 orange, 1 lemon, a broken cinnamon stick or two, a couple of bay leaves and about 5 whole cloves.  Caroline assembled all of our bags!  I just set up a little assembly line for her and before I knew it she’d cranked out 12 bags!  I snapped a quick pic with my phone, burger king crown and all!

Cinch the bag up with a little ribbon and tag that explains what to do with the potpourri and who la!  You’ve got a great little gift!  Don’t forget to download the sheet of tags!  Enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Today Eugene and I will load up the kids and my contribution to the Thanksgiving dinner and head to Jacksonville, FL to meet up with all my extended family (see below) on my mom’s side.  I’m really looking forward to a great meal and time spent with my wonderful family!

Over the years I’ve kind of always taken for granted that I had a close extended family.  I realize as I get older that it takes alot of effort to stay close especially when you’re spread out over a few states.  I’m very thankful to my mom, my aunts and my grandma for keeping us all so close.  I really want my kids to grow up and stay connected to cousins like I always have.  I think we’re on the right track so far, I love this picture from my grandma’s 80th birthday last year of the cousins chilling out together.

And every kid needs a fun Uncle that rents a bouncy house for Thanksgiving and dresses up like Spiderman!  Luke can’t wait to see what Uncle David has up his sleeve this year!

I hope all you guys have a great day with your families!
